I just read about a study that concluded certain anti-smoking ads may cause teens to smoke. The Cancer Council Victoria in Melbourne, Australia, concluded youngsters 12 to 17 years of age were less likely to see smoking as harmful after viewing the ads produced by Philip Morris USA. A spokesman for the company said, "We have found nothing through our research to indicate that the study's conclusions are valid." The study appears in the December issue of the American Journal of Public Health.
